Welding companies certified according to the MSZ EN ISO 3834 standard, the welder’s certificate of suitability for use certifies the existence of a system of conditions for production and repair, which is the basis for all welding activities.
According to the requirements of ITM Decree 8/2018 (VIII. 17.), organisations performing the manufacture and repair of certain welded structures must have the suitability of their welding facilities certified. Organisations with a certificate and test report issued by us can be registered in the database of the Government Office.
According to the requirements of the Government Decree 216/2019 (IX. 5.), the manufacturing, on-site technological assembly, repair and conversion of tanks for the storage of dangerous liquids or melts, which are not pressure vessels, must be certified as suitable for their welding shop. Organisations holding a certificate and inspection report issued by us may be registered in the database of the Government Office.
Organisations manufacturing pressure equipment, systems and simple pressure vessels must demonstrate, before the start of work, that they have the necessary overall competence, a quality system in place and an authorisation issued by a notified body. The NGM Regulation 44/2016 (28.XI.) on safety requirements and attestation of conformity for pressure equipment and systems and simple pressure vessels introduces two EU directives into the national legal order:
– Directive
2014/68/EU (PED – pressure equipment directive) for pressure equipment
– Directive
2014/29/EU (SPVD – simple pressure vessel directive) for simple pressure vessels
The scope of the Regulation covers the design, manufacture, conformity assessment and marketing of the equipment, systems and vessels referred to above, as well as natural persons, legal entities and unincorporated enterprises importing such equipment, systems and vessels with a maximum allowable pressure exceeding 0,5 bar.
In the case of welded structures that are not covered by either the PED or SPVD Directives, but can only be placed on the market with CE marking as provided for in Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, companies manufacturing such construction products must also be certified as having a welding manufacturer’s qualification in addition to complying with the EN 1090 series of standards.
The competence of the welding plant of companies carrying out work in the above-mentioned production areas may be certified by a notified body.
